Terms & Conditions
The agreement between you and DN Brokers PTY Ltd.
Ikhaya is run by DN Brokers PTY Ltd, a South African company. When you use Ikhaya you are contracting with DN Brokers PTY Ltd, and by continuing to use the service you agree to these terms.
What the service is
Ikhaya is a record-keeping and calculation tool for South African household employers. It stores the papers a household employer must be able to produce, generates documents from the terms you enter, and calculates figures such as notice, overtime, UIF and severance. It is not legal advice — see the disclaimer.
Your account
- You must be of legal age, or have authority to act for your household.
- Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
What you may not do
- Use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy.
- Interfere with the service — no malware, no probing or testing of its security, no scraping or bulk copying.
- Reverse engineer the service, resell or redistribute it, or try to get around its technical limits.
Who owns what
DN Brokers PTY Ltd owns Ikhaya — the software, the documentation and the branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it within your plan. Your records stay yours: you give us a limited licence to store and process them only so we can provide the service to you.
Payment, billing and cancellation
The subscription is R79 per month for each of your first three workers; every worker after the third is free, so the bill never exceeds R237 a month. Adding a billed worker charges the part-month immediately; removing one lowers the bill from the next month, with no credit for the current one. You can cancel at any time and keep full access until the end of the paid month.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
If you stop paying
The service stops at once — no notice period and no cancellation fee. Your folder stays readable and exportable for 30 days, after which it is archived. Deleting and exporting your records is always allowed.
No promises of perfection
We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Statutory rates change and the figures the app produces depend on the facts you enter — see the disclaimer.
Limits on liability
We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages — including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment, for a security or fraud risk, or for repeated or serious violations of these terms. When access ends you may export your records during the read-only window; after archiving, ask us for a copy.
General
- These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
- Disputes go to the South African courts.
- You may not transfer your account without our consent. We may transfer our side of the agreement as part of a merger or sale of the business.
- Neither of us is in breach for failing to perform because of events beyond reasonable control.
- You indemnify DN Brokers PTY Ltd against claims arising from content you put into the service, unlawful use, or your breach of these terms.
